Planting the seed of a new beginning is basically the meaning of the Ace of Pentacles.
But this ace is so much more nuanced than that one statement. Depending on the question asked in the reading, this card may suggest, through its colour, the beginning of a 'golden' opportunity. Pentacles, (or sometimes called coins), often signify material wealth and prosperity.
An ace in a suit is also the number # one.
In the suit of pentacles the ace is just the beginning of the journey towards a goal, and may signify the beginning of a new business venture. Notice the soiled hands pictured on the card giving a hint that, 'getting ones hands dirty,' may be needed to accomplish your goals.
The fruits of your labour may take root and grow into something significant, but as you can see in the card, the growth must start with strong deep roots in order to nourish the tiny shoots that are forming.
Sometimes we judge our progress only by the 'tiny shoots' that are visible, wishing the growth was happening faster, rather than remembering that it is the strength and health of the roots that dictate long term success.
